Zack Snyder's Best Movies to stream Right Now.

The director of the first DCEU film Man of Steel, Zack Snyder has a lot of haters, you can't deny that fact. His perception of making movies stands unique but has less fun and is more dark and sinister to look at, unlike Marvel movies that are so enjoyable and entertaining. But Zack Snyder hits a masterstroke with his latest release Zack Snyder's Justice League which stands at 8.4/10 at IMDb and 73% on Rotten Tomatoes making it the highest-rated movie in his filmography. In this today's video, I have listed all Snyder's films arranging them from good to best.
8. Sucker Punch.

Set in 1960, "Babydoll", a young lady is institutionalized in a psychological organization and adapts to it by imagining it as a brothel. She collaborates with four artists/detainees to escape before her planned lobotomy. The film didn't leave any mark on the box office and critics panned the movie. As one of the critics described the film as "the most boring, ploddingly put together, infantile, crass, adolescent, stupid, chauvinistic twaddle that I've sat through in a very, very long time." Sucker Punch likewise drew fuss for its portrayal of women. A few reviewers depicted the film as sexist and others communicated worry over its treatment of sexual brutality. If you want to watch this film you rent it from Youtube or any other digital platforms.

7. Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Zack Snyder tried to do something original this time, taking inspiration from the comic book The Dark Knight Returns, he rebooted the character, Batman. In the film, criminal genius Lex Luthor controls Batman into a preemptive fight with Superman, with whom Luthor is fixated. Having a runtime of a little more than 2.5 hours, the film is a visual delight, the action sequences and performance are top-notch yet the critics bashed the film and one critic called the film "humorless" and "the most incoherent blockbuster in years". For me, yes the pace was really slow but it was not that bad. You can stream it on Netflix.

6. Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole.

An animated fantasy adventure family movie directed by Zack Snyder tells the story of Soren, a youthful owl, who is captured by the horrible owls of St Aegolious and wants to transform him into a soldier. He escapes with some of his companions and cautions the mythical guardians about the malicious arrangement. The film received mixed reviews from the critics but according to me, it's a perfectly fine film with great animations and visuals with amazing voice acting. Stream it if you want to, you can find it on Amazon Prime Video.

5. 300.

The plot rotates around King Leonidas (Gerard Butler), who leads 300 Spartans into a fight against the Persian "God-King" Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) and his attacking army of 300,000 warriors. Based on the 1998 comic book limited series 300 by Frank Miller, the film 300 uses a strategy for compositing or layering two pictures or video streams together dependent on color shades - that's called Chroma key compositing and no doubt the film looks absolutely breathtaking in every frame. The film received favorable reviews, one critic said it "a possible redeemer of modern moviemaking" whereas there was a portion of critics shunning it saying  "300 has one-dimensional caricatures who talk like professional wrestlers plugging their next feud." The film also got surrounded by controversies but it was the audience who showered love on this film collecting more than $450 million with a budget of $65 million and bagging many awards. You can watch it on Amazon Prime Video.

4. Man of Steel.

The first installment in the DC Extended Universe and one of my favorite, Man of Steel tells the story of Clark Kent who discovers that he is a superpowered alien from the planet Krypton. He accepts the job of humanity's defender as Superman, settling on the decision to confront General Zod and keep him from eradicating mankind. Zack Snyder rebooted the Superman character with Henry Cavill playing the Superman and Amy Adams playing the love interest Lois Lane and the film was a big success collecting more than $650 million at the box office and holding a rating of 7/10 on IMDb but the critics seemed to have mixed feelings, as one said "we're dropped once more into the most disappointing film, with immature characters and supercharged-battle scenes that delay and offer the same old thing in the method of special effects creativity" whereas another critic said "Man of Steel has more than procured its keep, and has the right to be THE famous Superman film for a whole new generation" and I agree with that. The cinematography too is excellent in the film and you can stream it on Netflix if you want.

3. Watchmen.

Based on the 1986 comic book maxiseries by writer Alan Moore, the 2009 film directed by Zack Snyder tells a story set in a substitute history in the year 1985 at the stature of the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union, as a gathering of for the mostly resigned American superheroes who are investigating the homicide of one of their own prior to revealing a perplexing and destructive conspiracy, while their ethical impediments are tested by the unpredictability of the conditions. The film holds 65% at Rotten Tomatoes and one critic described it as "Abrasive and outwardly striking, Watchmen is a loyal adaptation of Alan Moore's graphic novel, however, its complex narrative construction may make it hard for it to speak to viewers who are not effectively acquainted with the source material." You can watch it on Netflix.

2. Dawn of the Dead (2004).

A zombie apocalypse film directed by Zack Snyder is a perfect treat for Horror fans. The story is about Ana, a nurse, and a small bunch of human survivors taking shelter in a shopping mall surrounded by a swarm of zombies. The film received positive reviews from the critics and one said "A kinetic, savage and shockingly commendable remake of George Romero's horror classic that gives recognition to the first while dealing with its own terms." This Zack Snyder's debut film is truly a spectacle for horror fans with plenty of gore and violence and thrills, Dawn of the Dead is still considered one of the best Zombie movies ever made. You can rent and watch it on YouTube or Amazon Prime Video.

1. Zack Snyder's Justice League.

With no surprise, it's Zack Snyder's Justice League at the number one spot. This film is the director's cut of the 2017 film Justice League and the story revolves around Bruce Wayne and Diana recruiting metahumans, Flash, Cyborg, and Aquaman along with Superman as they have to save this world from Darkseid and his slave Steppenwolf and their army of Parademons. This film can be considered as an improved version of the 2017 film as we get to see beautiful characterization and a strong narrative which will bound you to sit for 4 hours. Though the critics have mixed opinions they all agree at one point that this version is superior to the 2017 Justice League. One critic said  "The unwatchable 2017 comic-book calamity has been refashioned into one of the most spectacular superhero movies ever made" whereas there were negative reviews too as one of them described it as  "turgid and bloated". But according to me, this is easily one of the best superhero films I've seen, so detailed and visually stunning. Snyder dedicated this movie to the memory of his daughter Autumn.

Well you'll not have to wait much for Zack Snyder's another saga as his next film Army of Dead is all set to release on 21st May 2021 on Netflix which is about a group of hired fighters who plans a heist on a Las Vegas casino during a zombie outburst.
