Blood Of Zeus (Season 1) - Review : Best Anime series of 2020!!!

Blood of Zeus is an American animated television series created by Charley and Vlas Parlapanides. The series was released on October 27, 2020, on Netflix.

Heron (Derek Phillips) and his mother Electra (Mamie Gummer) are vagabonds, living outside the village, as no one likes them, but the village is soon attacked by human-shaped monsters and Grand Archon Alexia the Amazonian (Jessica Henwick), and her Soldiers are chasing them. An old man, Evios tells Heron about the monsters. He further tells about the war between the Gods and the Titans, where Titans, obviously, loses and their souls are trapped and their bodies were thrown into deep seas. But one body gets washed into the shore, and hallucinates a man to consume a small part of the body, finally turning him into monsters and in turn, an army of darkness is created and their leader is Seraphim (Elias Toufexis). In such a tightened situation, Heron gets to know about his who really he's, and who is his father and brother?

The writing credits goes to Charley and Vlas Parlapanides, and it's about Greek Gods and mythology, which I don't know, not even a bit, but the story unfolds in a very intriguing manner, keeping Heron as the principal character, a son of God, is a superbly written character, the warmth, and emotion connected to Heron is effectively shown. Despite that, Zeus (Jason O'Mara) takes away all the points, his presence in every scene is so powerful and truly Godlike, and the strong and thunderous voice of Jason O'Mara makes Zeus even more alive on screen. 

The dominating presence of Hera (Claudia Christian) is another best thing in this anime series. The series is pretty violent and is strictly for adults, as it contains some adults scene too, you can get a glimpse of 3 or 4 headless monsters per episodes, the hand and necks getting slashed off, and blood gushing out like water, that could havee been a treat to see in a live-action series. The other supporting characters are good, especially the two smugglers, they provide a break from all the havocs, bringing light moments by their silly dialogues. 

Blood of Zeus is a gift for anime fans, and easily the best anime series of 2020. It features a half-hour climactic battle, which is magnificent, and it's very hard to take your eyes off of it. The series gives you everything you want, Gods, Demons, Monsters, Demigod, and what not. It's an unmissable, worth watching anime, and the last scene, it will shock you. I'm eagerly waiting for the next season.
