Ajay Devgan's film Bhuj - The Pride of India is a period war film, whose story is derived from the Indo-Pak war of 1971. The trailer of the film was released on Monday, which is filled with scenes of patriotism and bravery. The trailer shows glimpses of all the major characters of the film. Bhuj will be released on August 13 on Disney Plus Hotstar VIP on the occasion of Independence Day. This is the first film of Ajay Devgan in the lead role, which will come directly on the OTT platform.
Bhuj - The Pride of India is coming on such an occasion when 50 years of this historic war are being completed. Ajay plays Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik of the Indian Air Force, who was then in charge of Bhuj Airport. In 1971, Pakistan launched Operation Genghis Khan. Pakistan had attacked Bhuj airfield 35 times in 14 days with 92 bombs and 22 rockets.
The airbase was destroyed by the enemy during the war. Then Vijay, along with 300 women from the nearby Madhapur village, had prepared an airbase so that Indian Air Force aircraft could land. Sanjay Dutt is in the role of Ranchoddas Pagi. Amy Virk is in the role of Vikram Singh Baz Jethaj. Sonakshi's character's name is Sundarben Jetha. At the same time, Nora is playing a character named Hira Rahman. Sharad Kelkar and Pranitha Subhash will also be seen in important roles.

Bhuj is produced by Ajay Devgn and directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya. Ajay's Tribhanga as a producer has appeared on Netflix and The Big Bull Disney Plus Hotstar VIP. Currently, Ajay is also directing his home production film Mayday. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan and Rakulpreet in lead roles along with Ajay.
Talking about as an actor, Ajay's last released film is Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior, which was released in early 2020. In the coming times, Ajay will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi, SS Rajamouli's RRR, Amit Sharma's Maidan, and Indra Kumar's Thank God.
Bhuj - The Pride of India is all set to release on 13th August 2021 on Disney+ Hotstar VIP.
