Set in Mumbai's Muslim area, Esha Deol as Abeda has a place with a moderate Muslim family and is a mother and homemaker. While her better half Suleman, played by Rajveer Ankur Singh, battles to earn a living wage as a cab driver, she is at home dealing with her old yet tyrannical mother in law. The beginning couple of moments set up the family's obligation ridden circumstance and hand-to-mouth presence. The screenplay then, at that point inclines towards to feature how a female kid is separated in an Indian family while showering adoration and love on the boy. The short film doesn't offer anything new and becomes unsurprising.

The characters, as well, with their impeccably done hair and cosmetics, great garments given their monetary condition and feelings neglect to evoke an emotional response or even be relatable to any degree. They miss the mark on numerous levels with worse than average acting, zero impact and not in any event, looking their parts. The monetary condition never truly thinks about the characters yet is restricted to Suleman saying that there is a cash crunch. Envision Abeda (Esha Deol) getting up each day with new dewy cosmetics or resting with her consummately done hair. As a viewer, it is nearly hard to enter this world and be a piece of it.

There is a song in the 45-minute short film which could've been discarded. Ek Duaa's unexpected improvement lies finally and neglects to establish a connection. While it drives home the message with a sonnet discussed by Abhishek Bachchan, it is, best case scenario, a fair effort by Ram Kamal Mukherjee and group.
