Gandii Baat (Season 6) - Review : This needs to STOP!!!

Gandii Baat is an Indian Hindi Erotica Crime Thriller web series and seaso Gandii n 6 is directed by Afzal Shaikh. It stars Kewal Dasani, Mahima Gupta, Alisha Khan, Deepak Gupta, Nidhi Mahawan, Kunwar Vikram Singh, Anjali Mukerjee, Zoya Khan, and Utkarsh Arora. The latest season has only 2 episodes and was released on 21st January 2021 on ALT Balaji.

In the first episode, "Who Killed My Wife", Sarika (Mahima Gupta) is a very bold woman and it becomes the talk of the town as she wears short jeans and shirts which don't suit a married woman especially for the one living in rural areas. She is very close to Malti (Alisha Khan) who is not happy with her married life. Sarika gives Malti the pleasure she needs strongly by her 'surprise' which she keeps in a magic box. But while playing Holi, Sarika suddenly collapses and dies. Now her husband Diwakar (Kewal Dasani) starts to investigate her death and finds that she had been given rat poison. So who is the killer? What Sarika keeps hidden in her magic box?

The second episode 'Experiment' revolves around a married couple, Parimal (Kunwar Vikram Singh) and Mohini (Anjali Mukerjee) who are not satisfied with their sexual life as Parimal is suffering from erectile dysfunction. Mohini's friend Ruby (Zoya Khan) invites them to her marriage and tells her that she needs to do experiments while having 'you know what' and she can help her to ignite that flame. But Parimal didn't wanna go and meanwhile when Mohini is in that marriage party, a mysterious woman calls him to say 'tumhara khoon thanda pad gaya hai, usse garm karne ki zaroorat hai'. So he goes out and kills his boss Banita (Tripti Bajoria) who constantly mocks and insults him for his irregularity in work. He arrives at the marriage, gave pleasure to his wife, and then kills the bride and groom. Well, they get arrested for their doings.

The story and screenplay are by Sancheeta Bose and it looks like she hit her head before starting to write the story. It is full of nonsensical scenes and dialogues, even if someone will make up his mind to watch this series just for adult scenes, he/she will be highly disappointed. The length of the episodes is reasonably good around 38-39 minutes, but the writer fails to create that excitement that it could have delivered.

The characters are not at all sensible or normal enough to talk about reality, all they want is to have fun. In the first episode, Diwakar starts to investigate his wife's death and has no scenes with her before that, so how could the writer have possibly thought that today's smart audiences will take that crap. The premise of the second episode had potential but it was ruined by contrived adult scenes and pathetic underdeveloped characters.

The camera appears to be always focused on actresses' 'tops' and 'bottoms' and till now I have not been able to think of reasons why these actors are agreeing to work in such garbage content. With 6 seasons, Gandii Baat is becoming more Gandii in terms of execution and storyline and now the makers have nothing more to explore here, so they are coming up with these unintentionally funny stories and poor adult scenes that have shown no growth over these seasons.

No performance section, as these kinds of shows has no scope for good acting. The cinematography by Amit Singh is terrible. The series looks like someone amateur has captured this by his camera. The production design by Naseem Shah and Pramod Kalekar is very average and the dialogues by Ranveer Pratap Singh are unintentionally funny and the background score by Aashish Rego is not impressive. The editing by Afzal Shaikh is okay.

Gandii Baat Season 6 is an awful show that needs to be shut down. The first season came out with a lot of anticipation and excitement as to what it'll offer in the erotica genre but the makers are failing miserably to make it good enough so that viewers could appreciate it. The erotica genre has potential and the audiences and OTT platform will warmly receive it if it offers enjoyment and entertainment unlike this Gandii Baat, this is nothing more than a headache now and it's high time that it needs to stop.
