Who's Your Daddy Season 2 is an Indian Hindi Romantic Comedy Web Series directed by Chirag Arora. It stars Bhavin Bhanushali, Sameeksha Sud, Harmeet Mamik, Vidya Malawade, Deepika Khanna, Akashdeep Sabir, Anushka Sharma, Navneet Kaur, Mohit Duseja, Navneet Srivastava, Kartik Sabharwal, Lata Shukla, Ashok Awasthi, and Sukesh Anand in main roles. It has a total of 11 episodes and was released on 23rd December 2020 on Zee5 and ALT Balaji.
The story is about Shoosha (Bhavin Bhanushali) an orphan who is in search of his birth father and now works as a pizza delivery boy and as a massage therapist and is quite famous among the aunties. He attends the same school where his mother used to study and there he gets to meet his love Sukoon (Sameeksha Sud) who after getting a sprain in her leg during a kabaddi match gets her leg fixed by our hero Shoosha. They soon start to get close but Kittu (Anushka Sharma), a rival of Sukoon also likes Shoosha and wants Sukoon out of her way and is keeping a close eye all the time on Shoosha.
He was delivering pizzas as usual and knocks on the door of Sukoon's father's house and Shoosha is in now complete shock as Sukoon's father Mohak (Harmeet Mamik) is there in a picture with Shoosha's birth mother. This chaos hampers the relationship between Mohak and his wife Monica (Vidya Malawade) and simultaneously between Shoosha and Sukoon as there's a probability that they can be brothers and sisters. Even the DNA report send by Kittu to Sukoon's parents, messes this situation more. So who is Shoosha's daddy?
The story is by Chirag Arora and the screenplay is penned by Chirag Arora, Vishal Khanna, and Samarth Shandilya. The story is different from its season 1 but the main theme is the same as what the name suggests. I have to say that it is better than its first part but still not that fulfilling. There's nothing to like about this series as you don't get attached to any of the characters.
There's no chemistry between the lead characters and what's worse is that it falls under the comedy genre but sadly none of the jokes or comic scenes are good enough to make you laugh. And after the second episode the actors seems to be doing the same thing over and over again and even the story is not progressing as there is nothing is to explore. It could have been better if it was made into a one and half hour film which could have been executed well enough to enjoy, that would have worked well. But here the humor and the story seem forced in the middle part of the series and the last episode is just like a hurricane. It comes and goes without exploring any angle to the story to which this series is standing.
Bhavin Bhanushali is good as Shoosha and Sameeksha Sud as Sukoon looks cute and is just average here. Harmeet Mamik as Mohak and Vidya Malawade as Monica tries to save this ship from sinking but fails. Anushka Sharma as Kittu seems earnest about her performance and has done a good job and outshines everyone on the climax.
The cinematography by Amit Singh is just ordinary and doesn't give you the feel of a web series. It rather has a daily soap vibe. The production design by Rajeev Ranjan is quite okay and the dialogues by Ajaydeep Singh and Jatin Dua could have been more funny and punched packed. The editing by Harkirat Singh Lal is just about okay.
Who's Your Daddy Season 2 is better than season 1 which was a crap and this has the potential and had the ingredient to be entertaining and enjoyable but alas the execution is below average and almost nothing here makes any impact and even the humor fails to brings any laugh. It's just another dull content from ALT Balaji.
