Feel-Good & Happy Films to Stream on Netflix.

In such a difficult time as now, we really and desperately want to transport ourselves into a whole new world where there is zero tension and no stress about what will happen in the future, just do as you like, be as you like, there's no one to stop you. And Netflix frequently delivers many feel-good and enjoyable movies to which critics might find blah blah but for me, it always proves as a doorway to escape from the hectic life we are living, okay, okay, I'm saying too much. In this post I've assembled some really great feel-good and heartwarming and lovely movies that you can find on Netflix to stream.

10. Let It Snow (2019).

The biggest attraction of this film was the star cast Isabela Merced, Kiernan Shipka, Jacob Batalon, Liv Hewson, and many more. With so many actors and too many plotlines is so wonderfully handled that we don't find ourselves telling that now I'm missing that actor and this actress. It has an impressively balanced screenplay that allows every one of these future stars to show their magic. It's heartwarming and feels good when finally everyone gathers in Keon's workplace and despite he failed to bring the DJ, everyone dances in the end giving it one of the beautiful endings I've seen.

09. A Week Away (2021).

It has the same old concept, a boy meets a girl and he falls in love with her but A Week Away is much more than this. It has warmth in its story and characters but also uplifting as it shows through its main lead who's finding his place in this world and something to hold onto when he was given two choices, to go to juvie or a summer camp. I only imagine if it was set in a set in juvie, would it had the same magic? There's are songs here and there which perfectly go with the mood of the situation and the film is a Christian musical teen drama so it has a fair dose of religious beliefs but the writer-director doesn't stuff the movie with it. Bailee Madison and Kevin Quinn are perfectly cast and the song "Place in this world" is so good, every time I hear it, it grows on me more and more, and the picturization of the song and the film is too good. The film is enjoyable and it is made to give you a good time.

08. To All The Boys I've Loved Before, P.S. I Still Love You, Always and Forever.

Based on To All The Boys three romance novels by Jenny Han, and in the film there's lovely Lana Condor who plays Lara Jean and is a shy teenager who has written five love letters for the boys she has crushes on but is never willing to send it. But what happens when her sister Kitty sends all those letters and how will the boys react. Well, the reaction of the boys has us three beautiful movies.  The films are just what they needed to be - fun, romantic, light-hearted, and lovely. The last part, Always and Forever, was also good as it shows the two characters finally going into college and thinking about their future and Lara being so obsessed about New York University despite her boyfriend Kavinsky is going to Stanford University, felt good and bad at the same time. They're fun and goofy films that can be watched anytime with anyone. A spin-off series featuring Anna Cathcart who plays Kitty in the film has been announced by Netflix and I'm looking forward to seeing that show as I loved Anna too in the film and now she is getting a full-fledged series of her own, I'm so ready.

07. Yes Day (2021).

Telling no to your kids is not easy and when a school employee shares his opinion of having a Yes day to Allison and Carlos Torres, in return we get a 86 minutes movie full of fun and easy and typical characters which doesn't give that much importance to its plot rather it is made for a sole reason to give the audience what they want. A feel-good, family, and heartwarming film where we find ourselves cheering for the family when they had to finish up eating the large bowl of sundae within 30 minutes or the car wash scene or the foam explosion at the nerd party. It's a cute movie that is entertaining even though it starts to feel like a typical family movie. It has a rating of 5.7/10 on IMDb and 49% on Rotten Tomatoes.

06. Set It Up (2018).

Set It Up directed by Claire Scanlon is breezy and yet another fun movie where two assistants, Zoey Deutch and Glen Powell plans to get their bosses together so that they don't have to overwork in the office. It has some hilarious moments when Taye Diggs and Lucy Liu are in an elevator and then a delivery man enters what happens then it's hilarious. And it was great to see that how it focusses more on these successful female characters showing this career and overall its a great film that knows what it wants to be, it never drags and with the two main leads, Zoey Deutch and Glen Powell it shows that love just happens even if you don't like the qualities or habits of them, you still care for them, feel for them. That's Set it up, funny, feel-good, and philosophical. It has a rating of 6.5/10 on IMDb and 92% on Rotten Tomatoes.

05. Instant Family (2018).

Another feel-good movie for everyone. When a couple, Pete and Ellie gets the news that they can't have children they enroll for adoption. They met a 15-year-old Lizzie and 10-year-old Juan and 6-year-old Lita and they are all siblings whose mother is in prison, but at last, Ellie ends up deciding to foster those siblings. Instant Family is directed by Sean Anders and the film is based on his experiences, and so his passion is evident. The film is a tear-jerker and emotional that stays with you and Mark Wahlberg in comedy film doesn't always prove successful but he's in a great form all through. It's a true feel-good film that shouldn't be missed. Watch it with your family. It has a rating of 7.3/10 on IMDb and 81% on Rotten Tomatoes.

04. Klaus (2019).

Can I take a second and say that how spectacular the animations of this film look? It was sad that Klaus didn't win any Oscar, it deserved it. I think that Klaus and I Lost My Body were way better than the winner Toy Story 4. Klaus shows its own version of Santa's origin. Jasper is a spoiled son of Royal Postmaster General and he sends him to an island as punishment and tasked him to posting six thousand letters in a year. But it's too hard for him to even adjust to that place. He finally meets Klaus a toymaker and then what happens is worth watching. Writing a letter is a symbol of love and Klaus is a film that spreads love among people who are seen constantly fighting and among audiences too. I cried so much watching it. It's one of the best-animated films you'll ever see and one of the best Christmas films too. It has a rating of 8.2/10 on IMDb and 94% on Rotten Tomatoes.

03.The Mitchells vs. the Machines (2021).

Another animated film, the way it introduces its character is commendable. A wannabe filmmaker Kate thinks no one in the family understands her but when machines turn against humanity, it's the Mitchells who have to come together to save everyone and Mitchells are the last hope. Now in a journey to save humanity in a funny way and with some genuinely hilarious moments, it's the characters that shine throughout, a father-daughter track that is beautifully done and a mom just trying to keep everyone in the family together, and a brother who is a true dinosaur geek. Another brilliant aspect of the film is the animation which is like a hand-drawn comic book style that looks super cool by the way. The chemistry between the characters is heartwarming and it's a lot more than just a dysfunctional family drama showing the downside of the advanced technologies. It has a rating of 7.8/10 on IMDb and 98% on Rotten Tomatoes.

02. Love and Monsters (2020).

A post-apocalyptic film has never been so heartwarming. With scary but amazing monsters, Love and Monsters is about Joel who finally gets out of his bunker to find his girlfriend but out there as you know are human-eating monsters. The film has a dog named 'BOY' and a robot named Mav1s, they're the most human characters you will not find in any Transformers or Fast and Furious films, sorry to the fans but honestly speaking. Even a robot here makes a great impact and it almost broke me to tears. Dylan O'Brien with his charming presence makes this film grounded and engaging and funny and sometimes thrilling. The visual effects are mind-blowing, the monsters are a treat to see and it's a perfect family monster apocalypse and a heartwarming film we need strongly.

01. Spirited Away (2001).

The story is about a girl Chihiro who with her parents enters an amusement park but it turns out that it is full of monsters and darkness. I'm not that obsessed with anime but Spirited Away is so moving and visually stunning, it's beautiful and incredible. The animation is nothing extraordinary, after some amazing works we have seen lately, but Spirited Away is magical. The world it builds, it's hypnotic. The music and the voice artists - is there anything wrong with the film? The characters are so profound that after a while you'll forget you are watching an animated film. The film surely gives an experience that we hardly see in Disney or Pixar's films. The world-building here is more fascinating and immersive and is equally funny, heartwarming, and sometimes unnerving. It's a masterpiece. It has a rating of 8.6/10 on IMDb and 97% on Rotten Tomatoes.
